Pilates Questions

  • Our Singapore Pilates exercises for beginners and intermediates are based on the original Pilates developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Core power is the foundation of how Pilates works. It focuses more on muscle tone than muscle strength.

  • You probably know what Pilates is, but our teachers can teach you all the benefits that Pilates has to offer. Pilates largely avoids high impact, high performance, and heavy muscular and skeletal stress. In addition, it helps to improve flexibility as well as toning and strengthening the overall muscles of the body. Whether you are new to Pilates, intermediate or advanced, our Singapore Pilates studio will enhance your understanding and experience of all that Pilates has to offer.

Another benefit of Pilates is impact-free exercise, which makes it safer than other types of exercise. It exercises your body evenly and symmetrically, which is the best way to improve your core strength and heal you from all past injuries.

  • A common question asked is, what is the difference between Pilates compared to yoga? Yoga and Pilates are exercises that are valued for their many health benefits, from providing physical connection and stress relief to improving flexibility, strength, control, and endurance.

The main quality that distinguishes Pilates from yoga, which places more emphasis on the mental and philosophical side, is its focus on small movements that require the use of controlled movements and focus. When practicing yoga, one usually takes a position and holds it, or moves to another position. In Pilates, you take a position and then move your arms or legs to focus on your core. There are many types of Pilates, the main difference between them is the type of equipment used, such as Reformer, Chair, Barrel, and Cadillac. Whether you are new to Pilates, intermediate, or advanced, our studio will teach you more about Pilates than you can imagine!

  • The minimum age to enter our studio is 16 years. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced in Pilates, our instructors will guide you and teach you the best Pilates techniques.
