Siti enjoys an active lifestyle. In her youth, she used to represent her school in Netball, Long Jumps and Track Field Running competitions. She practiced Powerlifting, Weightlifting and HIIT workouts for several years. However, due to improper form and body awareness, she had a tendency to put too much strain on her joints and worked incorrect muscle groups, which resulted in repetitive injuries. This is further aggravated due to Siti’s structural S-curved scoliosis unbalanced musculature and sitting long hours at a desk-bound corporate job. She suffered chronic pains and spasm on left-sided shoulder, knee, ankle and lower back. Siti used to visit her chiropractor 2 times a week to provide pain relief.
She discovered Pilates in 2015 while seeking a long-term and efficient exercise method to provide pain relief and injury prevention. Due to scoliosis, she sought her orthopedic doctor’s opinion about Pilates, and was surprised when her doctor also highly advocates Pilates methods to prevent her spinal and muscle imbalance from worsening with age.
During a Pilates session, she was advised by a Pilates instructor to consult a doctor as it seemed her left shoulder does not have a regular range of motion without pain. Her MRI-Arthrogram results showed that she has with Rotary Cuff and Long Head Bicep Chronic Tendinosis, which might lead to early stage of Frozen Shoulder if not being managed. This is due to the repetitive injuries and overuse over the years.
After a combination of 1 year of weekly physiotherapy treatment and Pilates as a form of rehabilitation, she has realized the personal benefits of Pilates. Her chronic shoulder aches is manageable, gained regular range of shoulder mobility, and improved her posture, body awareness and core strength.
This embarked her to pursue instructor certification with PoleStar Pilates. She would love to share her passion for Pilates and help others better understand the importance of correct postural alignment and improve movement. Pilates is both restorative and challenging.
During her free time, she incorporates Pilates, weightlifting and running into her workout routines. She enjoys travelling overseas, hiking, trekking and is also a paraglider pilot. She also loves to wind down with reading a good book before bed.

Chandler was born in Arizona before moving to Los Angeles in 2009 to attend The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. From there she remained in the fashion industry until 2015. In 2011 at only 22 years old, she began to experience chronic pain as well as a myriad of other symptoms. After years of doctors, procedures and medication with no answers, she began seeing Naturopaths and Kinesiologists whom recommended Pilates to further assist in alleviating her pain. The combination had a profound effect on what she would learn were multiple autoimmune conditions. The life changing impact she felt from the Pilates method motivated her to leave the fashion world and strive to help others have a similar experience. Today she is mostly pain free thanks to the healing power of Pilates combined with her holistic approach towards healing the body. She began with classical training in mat Pilates, before moving to the Balanced Body reformer. From there she received comprehensive contemporary training on Stott apparatuses. After which she began training in fascial release amongst other techniques and continues to further her 2,000+ hours of training. Chandler is passionate about getting her clients out of pain and into the best physical shape, while focusing on correcting muscle imbalances. She hones in on body mechanics, while using seamless transitions and proper breath work. The combination of her classical and contemporary background has made her a skilled and qualified teacher. Hello! I’m Kim!
I’ve been diagnosed with scoliosis at a very young age and was recommended to start swimming to mobilise my spine. I went into competitive swimming and over the years, due to the complication of the sun and chlorine – I had to stop swimming.
I ventured into other activities, however, due to my flexibility, I injured myself and had an annular sprain (L3-L4) while training. I wasn’t able to sit, run, jump or do any activities that had impact for 3-4 months. I couldn’t even sit down for more than 20 min without pain.
I did Pilates for rehab (almost about 4-5 times a week) With Pilates- It has elevated by lower back issue. I do not suffer from lower back pain anymore unless I do too many flexion exercises. I’m very careful with myself since- to inhabit good posture and form in my day-to-day life.
With this, I decided to learn and get certified in Pilates to spread my knowledge and experience to anyone out there to benefit from this or to have better control and mobility with their body. It is about precise movement with control. I got myself certified and am spreading my enthusiasm and love of Pilates to everyone.
